Severance Hospital began using da Vinci as a robotic surgery system for the first time in Korea and has performed over 7,500 cases from 2005 to the first half of 2012. The System offers greater maneuverability and precision to the surgeon and prevents resting tremors of the surgeon's hand. In addition, it reduces blood loss, pain and recovery time for the patient.
